I am intrigued by the simplicity of imagery and tone, and I enjoy the way that it leads me to see differently.
Pembrokeshire
Since my partner and I first walked along the Pembrokeshire coastal path in 2011, we have returned each year to explore further. Over the years, a dream grew to one day move to this area. Due to a chain of unforeseen events, we realised we could do it earlier than planned. There is some risk involved, but life is short and happiness is key; we realised that we should seize the moment and take the chance.
In 2024, my partner and I moved from the north-west of Switzerland, my home for the past 30 years, to the southern coast of Wales. It is a big change, although we have no regrets about it.
From a photography perspective, a lot has changed, too. I now understand that I know the area in Switzerland more than I realised. The locations, the forests, the seasons and the weather patterns and how these affected the locations. Although I have visited this area at least once a year for more than 10 years, I know very little about it.
Now is a time of learning and exploring.
