Over time, I have started to realise that when I look at a wide open landscape, I don’t see this scene as a whole. I soak in the entirety piece by piece, I look at individual elements from scene to scene, from composition to composition.

This is essentially the reason for this project, as well as the progression of my style and my images. The realisation that what we see is fundamentally a jigsaw with many pieces, some of interest and others filling the gaps. I began to try to ignore the gaps and see the details that grasped my interest, and eventually started to look deeper and see the tiny aspects.
